The holidays are approaching…
Due to the spike in shopping around this time of year, the CSE’s (Comparison Shopping Engines) take advantage of this opportunity to make some (more) money for themselves as well. To all of the veteran CSE advertisers you probably already know this, and to the newbie’s, well this is some information that I thought you would like to know about: Welcome to the Holiday CPC (cost per click) increase!! Every year around the end of October most CSE’s increase their CPC. This cost increase usually goes until the beginning of January. So if you see a spike in costs per engine and the return doesn’t necessarily fit the bill, this could be a huge reason why. This basically is the price you pay to be able to advertise on the CSE’s during the busiest shopping time of the year. If you are selling your products on the CSE’s you are probably getting an update from the engines explaining this to you or if you haven’t you will be soon.
On a brighter note, advertising your products on the CSE’s has huge potential for awesome ROI’s. So keep selling, and if your utilizing FeedPerfect (which you should be), you’re selling smart!
